Holiday Health
Sun Burn
Make sure to take with you and use a high-factor sun-cream when on holiday. On holiday you are much more likely to spend a lot of time outside in the daytime, so protection from the harmful radiation of the sun is essential. It is not a good idea to use too little sun-cream, so, for the sake of your skin and health follow the insttructions and be prepared to apply the sun-cream liberally, as they say. Also, it is a good idea to be aware of, and make use of the available shade to break up the time you spend in the sun. On a palm tree beach, for example, why not spend some time under the shade of the palm trees?
Water
Almost anywhere in Europe, and most likely, any large hotel you stay in will have safe drinking water. Find out before you try the local water. If in any doubt, buy and drink bottled water only.
Walking
As well as being outdoors in the sun a lot you are likely to do a lot of walking on holiday. Make sure you take, and wear, comfortable shoes. A good supply of foot-cream will also be a good idea. Take frequent rests when sight-seeing and walking.... you are on holiday after all. Take time to look after your feet on holiday, rest often and avoid blisters, cracked heels and sore soles. Sit in the shade of the palm trees sometimes and watch the world go by.........
Travel Insurance
Decide whether you need travel insurance, and if you feel you do, take out adequate protection for your-self (and family) whilst on holiday. A day-trip to France may not (you decide) require insurance cover but a safari to the wilds of Africa certainly will. Insurance for a vacation is readily available wherever you holiday.
